JNT EXPRESS SERVICE in Malaysia has many modes transportation for delivery their product to reach customer base even the customer continental or non-continental. Transportation is very important when it part in logistic main activity because transportation actively 24 hours without stop because of customer needs the logistic never end. Without transportation in logistic activity the process cant continue because how want to move the goods to place to another place. So it will continue that’s reason JNT really need transportation for their company to gain more profit. JNT have three type of modes that can freight the product to customer 

 

1) AIR FRIEGHT MODE

• Firstly is company have air freight likes airplane vehicles this modes very quick and also safe but it base on time sensitive parcels let say if the documents or perishable goods easily damaged for example high value product like agricultural product. So it needs to be use that air mode and protected packaging. Even though it cause high cost per parcel or packages if they wanted their product ASAP except the speed delivery and limit speed cargo capacity expensive.

2) LAND FREIGHT MODE

• Next is land freight mode, land mode is very popular in Malaysia especially when they deliver the parcels trough in front house. JNT typically usage this mode by door to door so its easy and cheap for growth market. Cross border shipping use the trucks to move freight place to another location but the delivery will take longer time than air transportation if there have not congestion or damage roads that need to be through especially in highway track. However the trucks will be arrange if they [LTL] means less trucks load it will manage by terminal handling to make sure each product need to be handle per parcel so it caused high cost for that. Different than [FTL] means full truck load if the trucks full capacity in one truck it will be delivered direct to consignee which means the buyer. The cost that need to paid if the full truckload they need to paid for cost of filling one whole truck but if less truck load the bills base on space that been used in one vehicles. However, full truck load will less stop between logistic hub or handle the product but different situation when less truck load need to be waiting for fill the capacity up if other truck want to join the less truck for load and unload.

3) SEA FREIGHT MODE

• Lastly is sea freight mode, sea mode transportation also cheap than air because cost need to be paid when rent space and other stuff airplane very expensive than ship space. The limit for ship space very large and even can bring ideal bulks in single trip but different than airplane capacity and weight are limited. Ship vehicles can bring in bulks but its slow delivery lead time. One trip for ship can bring big volume of goods, so fewer trips need to be made. This makes sea transport more save and cheap compared to other shipping goods with long distances. However it is afford for seller that does not meet time constraints. So sea mode can take months to arrive at the port.
